On behalf of our Board of Directors, we are pleased to welcome international players to our association for the 2024/25 hockey season.
Playing hockey in Canada, more specifically Southern Alberta, offers various exciting benefits, including the chance to explore the world. As an international sport, hockey provides numerous opportunities. Playing hockey abroad can be a transformative journey, fostering essential life skills, and unveiling new prospects. Whether aiming for the next level to play or seeking global adventures, hockey challenges you to grow, create lasting memories, and form strong bonds with teammates and coaches.
Engaging in hockey at a competitive level demands significant discipline and hard work. At SESHC you will develop skills in time management, goal setting, and maintaining focus amidst distractions. These acquired skills are transferable and beneficial across different areas of your life, such as academics, career, and personal relationships.
One remarkable aspect of playing hockey abroad is the potential to forge enduring relationships with teammates and coaches. Collaboration in a team sport like hockey cultivates deep connections as you work together towards common objectives. These relationships extend beyond the rink, with many players maintaining contact with former teammates and coaches long after their playing days. Some develop close friendships or business partnerships, offering personal and professional growth opportunities.
The bonds formed through international hockey can be invaluable in numerous ways. The potential benefits of hockey connections are limitless, offering life-changing possibilities beyond the game. Focus not only on hockey success but also on nurturing meaningful relationships that can shape your future in unexpected ways.
